Are you a mobile dog groomer?

Unfortunately not. I am based in Stowmarket, from a cabin in my garden, with close links to the A14.

What are your qualifications?

I hold an iPet level 3 diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon management. I also hold canine first aid training. I am also fully insured.

Can you groom larger dogs?

Unfortunately due to health reasons and only having a small area, I can only accommodate new clients under 25KG. Feel free to speak to me if you are unsure.

My dog is nervous and hates being groomed, are you able to groom them?

Yes depending on how nervous/aggressive your dog is, they may need longer time, a muzzle, a larger salon with more groomers or even sedation from the vets. I try not to use muzzles or restraints, and try and work holistically with your dog, from a relaxed and homely environment. It is only ever me and your dog at any one time in the cabin which is great if your dog can be anxious or reactive around other dogs. Feel free to chat to me about this before booking.

What is your cancellation policy?

I appreciate that we all need to cancel sometimes due to unavoidable circumstances (myself included), however I do ask that 48 hours notice is provided. You can ask to see my cancellation policy along with any fees payable.

The groomers I’ve used in the past only need an hour, why do you need a minimum of two hours?

To do a quality groom, it takes at least an hour to bath, dry and prep a dog before the magic can even begin, then depending on style of cut and the behaviour of the dog, it takes at least a further hour. If you're looking for a cheap and cheerful shave off within the hour, I am not the groomer for you. 

 

Do you offer different styles?

Yes! I offer a cut and style to suit your requirements. I listen carefully to the finished result you require and create a custom cut based on that. I offer my knowledge and advice on styles and treatments which may be best to suit your needs and can cut and style to breed standards. My services also include de-shedding and upgraded 'spa' treatments.

My dog has fleas, can you treat them?

No, please do not bring an infested dog to me, I do not treat fleas or infestations, please speak to your vet and ensure the infestation is cleared completely before booking. If you bring your dog to be groomed that has an infestation, you will still be charged for the full groom, however the groom will not be carried out. In addition to this, you will be charged for cancellation of grooms for the remainder of the day and a fumigation fee.

My dog has never been groomed, can you help?

Yes, please discuss with me, if your dog is a puppy, I offer a puppy package which gradually gets your dog used to being handled and builds confidence before a full groom. Please see the Services page.
